Because of the bright fibers, low-twist, and long floats, satin is very lustrous. It is made in many weights for use in dresses, linings, lingerie, draperies, and upholstery.

Tricot half are made with filament yarns, being smoother and more lustrous, Tricot half is very light in weight, drape well it can be a solid color or printed, and are used in apparel. Originally made of silk but are now often made from manufactured yarns.
